Hotel Chiqui Santander, Santander

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms, despite being well-equipped with a shower and double bed, had some drawbacks like noise due to thin walls. However, the separate bedroom and lounge with a sea view and terrace were nice perks. The service was hit and miss, with helpful and friendly staff contrasting an extremely rude encounter with one member. The location was great with lovely walks along the front, but the noise from building works was a downside. The dining experience was decent but could use more variety, and the facilities were adequate.

The hotel had everything you would need and was comfortable, but the lack of air conditioning made it very uncomfortable during the evening. The rooms were lovely and adequately equipped, albeit very hot when the window was open.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable, although they looked a little tired. I had a view of the roof of the dining room from my room. The staff welcomed me with a smile and were very friendly, although there was an unfortunate incident with raw cold mince. The location was excellent, with a fantastic view along the beaches, even though navigating Santander's one-way systems can be a bit tricky. The hotel is situated overlooking a large sandy bay at the end of Sardinero beach, but it can get busy at times. Despite some hiccups, the facilities were generally good, offering a range of services like car hire, dry cleaning, and laundry. Overall, the proximity to the beach and the welcoming staff make it a great choice, though there are areas for improvement in dining and room conditions.
